Sharon Shannon - Feile Liam O'Flynn, The Moat Theatre, Naas - October 5th, 2025

When it comes to Irish Traditional Music, there is no bigger name currently than Sharon Shannon.  She's know far and wide for her button accordion and fiddle playing.

So, for Féile Liam O'Flynn to get her as the main headliner, was a fantastic coup and the gig going public knew it,  the Moat Theatre, in Naas, was packed!

Someone more educated in Irish Trad will be able to tell you all about the various reels and jigs she played throughout the night. I just stood there in awe watching her play, almost forgetting to take photos.

It was an absolutely wonderful night of music, and a fitting end to Féile Liam O'Flynn 2025.

On the night, Kevin Conneff, of the Chieftains fame, was honoured with the Féile Liam O'Flynn Award for 2025.

Speaking of photos:

@IrishMJ

Greatest goalkeeper never to play for Ireland at any level. A failed rock star. Now I take pretty pictures of Rock n' Roll, Burlesque and Political Activism.
