Fuego Fatale brings together some of the best fire, aerial,
dance and sideshow performers from the island of Ireland and beyond. While the lineup might change from show to
show, one thing that doesn’t is the absolute mayhem, madness and sheer skill on
display. And tonight’s show, in the
Soundhouse in Dublin, was no different.
Tonight’s lineup featured fantastic performances from Emma Mulholland, Bombshell, Leela Baron, and Bella Agogo, all MC’d by the brilliant
Dick von Dyke. If you have any interest
in Burlesque, Pole or Cabaret, you’ll know these names. If not, take note.
I was going to try and pick out a highlight of the night,
but it’s not easy. I’d never seen Emma or Bombshell perform before, so it was a real treat to finally catch them live. It’s always an absolute pleasure to watch
Leela perform — she’s truly at the top of her game. But if I had to choose, Bella Agogo’s Lord of
the Rings–inspired finale was something else.
Just thinking back on it now brings a smile to my face.
The Soundhouse is a nice, compact venue, fully seated for
shows like this, which, to be fair, makes moving around with a camera a lot
easier. They’ve also recently updated
the lighting and installed a huge video screen behind the stage. It looks epic.
