TribFest - North Kildare Sports Club - July 31st - August 1st, 2026

It's Tribfest time again — hip hip hooray! My annual pilgrimage to Kilcock to see all that's good and great in the world of tribute acts!

Friday night is Rock Night at Tribfest.  It's fast, it's loud, and it's a whole lotta Rosie. And this year's lineup is looking fantastic!

First up, it's Maiden Éire bringing us all things Iron Maiden, followed by Craic Sabbath with the music of Black Sabbath.  Then it's time for Whiplash and some Metallica, before we get a bit of Celtic rock from the Pat McManus Band — yes, that Pat McManus, of Mama's Boys fame!

Then it's back to the big rock classics with IE/DC bringing us AC/DC, before Guns Reloaded finish the night off with a healthy dose of Guns N' Roses.

Did I enjoy it?  Damn right I did!  My ears were ringing all night long!

Here's some photos from Friday night:

Saturday night was a more... well, I was going to say a more sedate night, but truth be told, whilst it might have been less traumatic on my eardrums, it was still a party!

The night kicked off with Springsteen A Tribute bringing the Boss home to Kildare, followed by Steven Mangan paying tribute to Michael Bublé.  Then it was over to These Charming Men for a bit of The Smiths, before Mairéad Rooney brought us Shania Twain.

After that, it was time for things to get a bit nutty with Complete Madness, followed by the Abba Sisters doing what they do best — ABBA!  And finally, we got to finish the night with Mack Fleetwood and the music of Fleetwood Mac.

And that was it for me, I had to go my own way on Sunday and couldn't make the last day of festivities.

Roll on Tribfest 2027, and now for some Saturday photos:

Greatest goalkeeper never to play for Ireland at any level. A failed rock star. Now I take pretty pictures of Rock n' Roll, Burlesque and Political Activism.
