Originally meant to be part of the launch for Ailbhe Reddy's debut album 'Personal History', tonight's show, in the Button Factory, had been rescheduled a few times due to Covid and now takes place almost 18 months after the release of the album.
Was it worth the wait? Oh hell yeah it was! Covid restrictions were lifted and everyone seemed to be ain great form, singing along to almost every song. When the crowd loves you that much, it's hard to put a foot wrong and she certainly didn't.
Another of Irelands fine singers, MayKay, joined Ailbhe on stage of a couple of songs. You might remember her from Fights Like Apes and Le Galaxie fame.
Support earlier in the night was from Maria Kelly, a very softly spoken, beautifully voiced singer who later joined Ailbhe on stage at the end of the night for a couple of tracks.
Anyway, I could just ramble on and on about the night with out making much sense, but just know this, it was a great night!
Now, on to the photos:
